Job summary

The National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR) is looking for a Transport Driver based in Conover, NC. This role involves driving the transporter for various events, loading and unloading equipment, and maintaining the vehicle.

Candidates must have 5 years of truck driving experience and a Commercial Driver’s License. You will also be responsible for logging and reporting trip details and assisting with other departments as needed. The position requires travel up to 80% of the time.

Qualifications

• 5 years of truck driving experience.
• Commercial Driver’s License required.
• Maintain all Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements.
• Experience with Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) for DOT compliance.
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
• Ability to travel 80% of the time, including weekends.

Transport Driver

NASCAR Event Management seeks a skilled professional to join in the position of Transport Driver. This position requires the employee to live within commuting distance to the Conover, NC Transportation Center.

Responsibilities

• Drive the transporter for all required events.
• Load and unload the truck and trailer; set up and break down awnings, tech and other equipment as needed.
• Schedule the truck and trailer and perform minor maintenance.
• Maintain all equipment, including cleaning, restocking and upkeep.
• Prepare truck logs, complete timecards, and fuel reports after all trips.
• After performing set-up duties at the race event, assist with other tasks to help augment staffing needs in other departments.
• Operate forklifts and supporting equipment as required.

Qualifications

• 5 years of truck driving experience.
• Commercial Driver’s License required.
• Maintain all Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements to operate a transporter.
