Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking staff to transport patients within the hospital, moving them between departments and spaces as needed. The role includes assisting patients with beds, wheelchairs, and stretchers, and transporting equipment under the Transport Department.
Employees will use Hospital Throughput software on a mobile device, obtain a ticket to ride from the nurse, and coordinate with RNs or unit staff before and after patient movement.

The function of this position is to transfer patients throughout the hospital from departments to ancillary areas and/or other spaces defined within the hospital. This position also transports hospital equipment as needed for inpatient care.
May be required to perform similar or related duties as may be necessary on an emergency basis or as designated by the department manager.
Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
