Job summary

Vanderbilt Health in Nashville seeks a Registered Nurse for the Transplant/General Surgery Unit. The role applies the nursing process to plan and implement patient care, including patient and family education and continuum of care planning, while collaborating with the health care team.

The position supports professional growth and engages in learning activities per Board of Nursing standards, with three 12-hour shifts from 7:00p to 7:00a, totaling 36 hours weekly, including some weekends.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of RN experience.
• Nursing degree.
• State or Compact License (TN license within 60 days of getting a TN address even if compact license).

Responsibilities

• Collaborates in establishing the plan of care, coordinates and implements care delivery while anticipating patient care needs across the continuum.
• Analyzes comprehensive information pertinent to the patient\'s care and management to determine nursing diagnosis.
• Continually utilizes the nursing process to evaluate patient\'s progress towards goals and applies appropriate interventions to ensure effective outcomes.
• Employs strategies to promote health and a safe and healthy environment.
