Qualifications
Must be board certified/board eligible in transplant surgery or equivalent.
ASTS fellowship training in multi-organ transplantation and procurement.
Able to meet licensing requirements in Virginia and be UNOS certified or eligible.
Prior experience teaching residents and medical students.
Demonstrated ability to work in and foster an environment of respect, professionalism and civility.
Responsibilities
Provide clinical care to transplant surgery patients on the MCV campus.
Teach in all areas of transplant surgery.
Establish clinical research projects with a record of publication and funding.
Mentor students in research laboratories.
Serve on departmental and hospital committees as necessary.
