Job summary

The Transplant Institute at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center is recruiting a full-time Transplant Psychologist to join our multidisciplinary abdominal organ transplant program. The psychologist will provide specialized psychological assessment, consultation, and treatment for patients undergoing evaluation for and receiving liver, kidney, and pancreas transplantation.

It will also provide evaluation and monitoring of liver and kidney donors as well.

Qualifications

• PhD or PsyD in clinical or counseling psychology from an APA-accredited program.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure as a psychologist in Massachusetts.
• Experience with medically complex patients; solid organ transplantation or health psychology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pre-transplant and living donor psychological evaluations.
• Assess psychosocial and behavioral factors that affect transplant candidacy and outcomes.
• Develop treatment recommendations and provide evidence-based psychological interventions for candidates, recipients, and living donors.
• Participate in multidisciplinary selection committee meetings and contribute to behavioral health services development within the Transplant Institute.
