Albany Medical College's Division of Nephrology invites a board-certified or board-eligible Transplant Nephrologist to join an expanding academic transplant program. The role blends transplant nephrology with general nephrology in a multidisciplinary setting.

The candidate will participate in inpatient rounds, immunosuppression management, and outpatient pre/post transplant clinics, while contributing to teaching and program development.

Qualifications

• Fellowship training in Transplant Nephrology required.
• MD/DO or equivalent degree with nephrology board certification or eligibility.
• Clinical nephrology expertise in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in New York.

Responsibilities

• Provide transplant nephrology and general nephrology care.
• Participate in inpatient transplant care and rounds.
• Manage immunosuppression and graft function.
• Share transplant-related inpatient consults and transplant nephrology call responsibilities.
• Participate in outpatient transplant clinics (pre/post living donor).
• Contribute to program expansion and quality improvement.
• Collaborate with transplant surgery and multidisciplinary teams.
