The Transplant Medical Science Liaison (MSL) provides comprehensive medical and scientific information related to Sanofi products.

The Transplant MSL acts as an advanced field-based scientific professional within the US Medical Affairs division of North American Pharmaceutical Operations. They share scientific and clinical data effectively, communicating directly with US healthcare providers and clinical researchers through compliant scientific exchanges, clinical research, disease state education, and addressing medical education gaps. The role also involves facilitating research, education, and collaborations, supporting the US Medical Affairs mission to generate, translate, and communicate clinical and scientific data for optimal patient care.

The primary responsibility of the Transplant MSL is to establish scientific credibility with healthcare stakeholders, communicate the value of Sanofi products, provide insights into medical education gaps, and identify research or educational opportunities. They serve as the principal scientific resource between US Medical Affairs and external healthcare providers involved in pharmaceutical decision-making, engaging in scientific exchange, providing clinical data, and communicating approved clinical information in compliance with SOPs. They also gather and communicate customer insights to internal teams to inform research and facilitate collaborations.

Main Responsibilities

The main responsibilities include facilitating information, education, and research activities for physicians and healthcare professionals regarding Sanofi's in-development or marketed products.

Demonstrate Scientific/Technical Expertise in Solid Organ Transplant
  • Understanding of clinical knowledge and disease states
  • Knowledge of scientific evidence related to Sanofi products and healthcare management
  • Understanding clinical trials methodology and outcomes
  • Connecting healthcare providers and organizations within the territory
  • Translating complex scientific data effectively
  • Utilizing clinical data and guidelines in the field
  • Contributing to US Medical Affairs strategy
Manage Regional Responsibilities for Solid Organ Transplant
  • Serve as the primary medical contact in the region
  • Disseminate scientific data in response to requests
  • Create and execute medical engagement initiatives
  • Build relationships with healthcare organizations and professionals
  • Identify educational opportunities and solutions
  • Work across various healthcare provider levels
  • Partner with colleagues adhering to policies
  • Represent healthcare provider needs internally
Medical Education and Information Dissemination

Qualifications
  • Medical, pharmacy, or postgraduate science degree required; MD, PharmD, PhD preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in solid organ or stem cell transplantation
  • Understanding of healthcare systems, research design, and clinical decision-making
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to think strategically
Physical Requirements
  • Extensive computer use; ability to travel up to 75%; driving and lifting as needed

The salary range for this position is $140,250 - $187,000 USD annually, based on experience. Additional benefits are available, detailed at www.benefits.sanofiusallwell.com.
