Job description

Inova Fairfax Medical Campus is seeking a dedicated Transplant Infectious Disease Physician to join the solid organ and stem cell transplant team. This role is PRN.

Job Responsibilities:


  • Develop guidelines for prevention and management of infections in transplant patients to reduce morbidity and mortality.
  • Provide educational support to ensure clinical protocols are standard of care and physicians are well-trained.
  • Collaborate with community infectious disease providers to build a knowledgeable network in transplant infectious disease management.
  • Expertise in prevention, diagnosis, and management of infectious diseases related to solid organ, stem cell transplant, and related conditions.
  • Ensure quality care for patients with infectious diseases within the transplant and related populations.

Additional Requirements:


  • Work Schedule: Monday - Friday
  • Licensure: Unrestricted medical license in Virginia.
  • Experience: Successful completion of a physician residency program.
  • Education: MD degree from an accredited institution.
  • Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Infectious Disease.
  • Fellowship Training: in Transplant Infectious Disease.
