Job summary

Avera Transplant Institute is seeking a Dietitian to plan, organize, and implement nutrition services for transplant candidates, recipients, and donors. You will assess nutritional needs, develop discharge plans, and coordinate with referring agencies and the transplant team to ensure continuous, compassionate care.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team, providing education to patients and families, and guiding dietetic staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and an approved dietetic internship or equivalent.
• Registered Dietitian credential within 180 days of hire.
• Licensed Dietitian by state licensure within 180 days of assignment.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate nutrition assessments and interpret patient information.
• Deliver medical nutrition therapy with individualized goals.
• Coordinate nutrition care across transplant team and discharge planning.
• Educate patients and families about nutrition requirements and post-transplant care.
• Document nutrition care and educate staff and community resources.
