Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System in Kansas City is seeking a Clinical Nurse (RN) for the Organ Transplant Progressive Care unit (Bell Hospital). You will deliver professional nursing care to critically ill transplant patients, collaborating with families and the health care team to ensure safe, effective care on a 24-bed unit.

Typical shifts are 12 hours, with full-time, part-time or PRN options. A ADN is required with BSN preferred; Kansas RN licensure or compact license and BLS are

Qualifications

• High School Graduate required.
• ADN prepared nurses; BSN degree by the fifth anniversary of employment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care through assessment, documentation, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation for patient comfort and well-being.
• Coordinate care delivery and education with patient, family and health care team to ensure safe, effective and quality patient care.
• Follow organizational policies to provide safe patient care.
• Works on the 24-bed Unit 64-Organ Transplant and Renal Progressive Care delivering transplant care across all phases.

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
