Job summary

Kinder Morgan Inc. is seeking an Operations Technician to safely operate a petroleum terminal, tank farm, truck rack and related units in the St. Louis area. You will manage distillation processes, monitor critical parameters and coordinate diverse receipts and shipments.

The role requires a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license and TWIC where applicable, plus the ability to work rotating shifts and perform physical tasks in a field environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid state driver's license required.
• TWIC required at terminals where applicable.
• Pass background check and drug/alcohol screening.
• Experience in petroleum terminal operations preferred.
• Proficient in basic math and Microsoft Office.
• Read/write English; communicate clearly.
• Able to work rotating shifts and perform physical labor.

Responsibilities

• Safely control the transmix processing unit through distillation operation.
• Monitor temperatures, pressures and flows of transmix and finished products.
• Sample and test petroleum products to verify specs.
• Coordinate receipts/deliveries with pipelines, rail, barge and truck.
• Transfer transmix and products between tanks and routes safely.
• Inspect tanks, piping, valves; document inventory and testing.
• Enter data into the truck rack control system and assist drivers.
