Job summary

AlpHa Measurement Solutions in Houston, TX, is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Engineer to own the physical design of the transmitter platform, from enclosure architecture to sealing and field-serviceability. You will work with the Firmware and Hardware/Systems teams to move concepts to validated assemblies, ensuring IP67/IP68 and C1D2 compliance.

The role reports to the Sr. Director of Product Engineering and entails a salaried, full-time schedule with regular hours and occasional travel for

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
• 3+ years of product development experience with industrial hardware.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD (SolidWorks) with GD&T.
• Experience supporting UL, FM, CSA mechanical certification for enclosures.

Responsibilities

• Own all physical design aspects of the transmitter platform, including enclosure architecture and thermal management.
• Create 3D models and production drawings; manage BOMs and revisions.
• Ensure IP67/IP68 ingress protection and C1D2 enclosure standards compliance.
• Collaborate with firmware/electrical engineers and certification bodies.
