Job summary

Duke Energy in the United States is seeking a Transmission Contracts Analyst (or Senior) to execute Transmission Provider activities, support Duke Energy initiatives for TP and TO functions, and develop tariffs and agreements with transmission customers.

You will interface with transmission customers and providers, ensure terms comply with policies and laws, and support operations during emergencies and storms. Strong communication and regulatory knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; related field preferred.
• 5+ years of related work experience required.
• Alternative: High School/GED with 9+ years of related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate negotiation and execution of transmission service agreements and generator interconnection agreements.
• Develop a thorough understanding of the Open Access Transmission Tariff (OATT) and Federal regulations affecting it.
• Monitor and maintain transmission customer accounts and provide timely, professional responses.
• Assess credit worthiness of prospective customers and secure appropriate instruments; manage letters of guaranty and letters of credit.
• Implement process measures for the Transmission Service Agreements process and contribute to provider process improvements.
