Job summary

AEP Transmission seeks a Siting & Outreach Manager to coordinate siting and outreach activities for a regional team, build relationships with landowners and regulators, and provide regulatory support including testimony.

Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, six years in outreach or utilities, excellent written and oral communication, travel readiness, and the ability to lead siting/outreach specialists.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, landscape architecture, planning, business, public relations, public affairs, environmental science or related field.

Responsibilities

• Engages in development of strategies to meet business objectives and line routing success.
• Develops tools/templates for siting/outreach consistency regionally and systemwide.
• Develops policies and standards for siting; provides testimony to regulatory agencies when needed.
• Identifies and develops siting/outreach strategies with landowners.
• Represents AEP Transmission to external affairs teams and educates the public about proposed projects.
• Directs siting/outreach strategies to improve two-way communication and routing success.
• Oversees outsourcing related to siting/outreach.
• Collaborates with External Affairs, Environmental Services, PM, ROW, and Engineering on projects.
• Fosters strategies and initiatives aligning with AEP values.
• Manages project outreach/siting specialists and workflow.
