Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate siting and routing activities for transmission infrastructure projects.
  • Provide technical guidance on land use, permitting, siting, and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, agencies, and stakeholders to drive decisions.
  • Support regulatory filings, permitting applications, zoning approvals, public meetings, and workshops.
  • Review applicable laws, regulations, codes, and standards to identify project impacts.
  • Develop and maintain project procedures to ensure regulatory and company compliance.
  • Support project scope, scheduling, budgeting, and task coordination.
  • Prepare and review technical and regulatory reports and documentation.
  • Provide guidance to less experienced team members and report project status to management.
  • Utilize GIS, CAD, and analytical tools to support project activities.

Job description

We are seeking a Project Manager to support transmission infrastructure projects, with a focus on siting, routing, permitting, and regulatory approvals. This role will serve as a subject matter expert while coordinating internal and external teams to successfully move projects through the siting and regulatory process.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and coordinate siting and routing activities for transmission infrastructure projects.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on land use, permitting, siting, and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, agencies, and other stakeholders to drive project decisions and consensus.
  • Support regulatory filings, permitting applications, zoning approvals, public meetings, workshops, and open houses.
  • Review applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, codes, and standards to identify project impacts and requirements.
  • Develop and maintain project procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory and company requirements.
  • Support project scope development, scheduling, task coordination, and budget oversight.
  • Prepare and review technical and regulatory reports and documentation.
  • Provide guidance to less experienced team members and communicate project status and recommendations to management.
  • Utilize GIS, CAD, and other analytical tools as needed to support project activities.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Geography, Planning, or a related field.
  • Siting and routing or land development permitting experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with transmission/infrastructure siting and routing or land development permitting.
  • Experience working across multiple regulatory jurisdictions.
  • Strong knowledge of land use, environmental, permitting, and regulatory processes.
  • Experience with state and federal permitting and regulatory filings.
  • Public speaking and presentation experience, including zoning, permitting, or community meetings.
  • Project management experience including scope, schedule, budget, and task coordination.
  • Experience with GIS, CAD, or other design/analytical software.
  • Strong technical writing, communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.
