Job summary

FirstEnergy Corp in Ohio is seeking a Project Coordinator to assist the Project Manager in monitoring scope, cost and schedule for transmission and distribution projects. You will coordinate activities across transmission lines, substations, communications and security initiatives, ensuring deliverables meet approved objectives.

The role requires a BS degree in a related field and 2–4 years of PM or transmission experience, with strong communication and analytical skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in a related field required.
4+ years project management experience or 2 years transmission experience considered.
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication and analytical ability.
Team player with willingness to work in a team environment.
Must be willing to travel to assigned project locations.

Responsibilities

Assist the Project Manager in monitoring and controlling projects to meet scope, cost and schedule.
Coordinate all aspects of transmission line, substation, communication and security projects.
Review project documents, budgets and forecasts for clarity and adequacy.
Participate in weekly coordination meetings with contractors, engineers and suppliers.
Maintain project files and support close-out documentation and lessons learned.
