Founded in 1898, we are a 100% employee‑owned, award‑winning engineering, architecture, construction, environmental, and consulting firm with offices and project teams nationwide. Our mission is simple: make our clients successful.

As we begin building our presence in Boise, our Transmission & Distribution (T&D) Global Practice is looking for a Project Manager to lead transmission projects and help grow our regional footprint. An entrepreneurial mindset, strong leadership skills, and a passion for client development are key to success in this role.

The Project Manager will manage, direct, and coordinate all aspects of overhead transmission projects—from concept through completion. You’ll be responsible for project performance, client satisfaction, and developing long‑term relationships that lead to repeat work and expanded service offerings.

Core Responsibilities
  • Lead full project lifecycle management, including siting, environmental, permitting, planning, estimating, engineering, right‑of‑way, project controls, procurement, constructability, construction management, and closeout.

  • Build and strengthen client relationships, focusing on repeat business and strategic growth.

  • Prepare proposals, support presentations, and participate in contract negotiations.

  • Develop and manage project schedules, scope, and budgets.

  • Own internal project financials, including forecasting, accruals, staffing, risk management, and change management.

  • Serve as the primary client contact for coordination, planning, scope management, budgeting, subcontracting, environmental compliance, and schedule performance.

  • Lead project communication and ensure alignment across all stakeholders.

  • Establish project controls, execution plans, and internal processes to support successful delivery.

  • Ensure deliverables meet client expectations and internal QA/QC standards.

  • Report regularly on progress, cost, schedule, procurement, safety, design issues, and risks.

  • Support the growth of the Transmission team through hiring, training, and mentoring.

  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across multiple small to mid‑sized projects.

  • Participate in strategic planning and sales development efforts.

  • Travel to client offices and project sites as needed.

  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management or related degree from an accredited program and 7 years applicable experience is required.

  • Prior experience on construction project sites or executing program management in the industries of aviation, commercial, energy, government, manufacturing, oil & gas, process, transmission & distribution, or water is preferred.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, demanding work environment, ability to work overtime on short notice.

  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency using Microsoft Office.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with others (owners, contractors, engineers, designers) in a multi-disciplined project team environment to resolve design or drawing issues as appropriate and to accomplish objectives.

  • Strong experience with document control, scheduling, cost control and project management software.

This job posting will remain open a minimum of 72 hours and on an ongoing basis until filled.
