Job summary

Watco Transloading, LLC in Brooklyn, NY is seeking an entry-level Operator to join our transloading team. You will help move residential waste containers from trucks to railcars for our customer, learning the ropes in a growing company.

This role offers on-the-job training, safety-focused work, and the chance to grow with a national logistics provider. Typical shift is 2:00 PM–12:00 AM with 5–6 days per week; a valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain required credentials are needed.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of equipment operating experience required or strongly preferred.
• Competency evaluation will be conducted for the equipment type.
• Knowledge of cargo hazards and safety practices is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and transfer materials between trucks, railcars, vessels, barges, and storage areas following procedures and safety standards.
• Inspect equipment before and after use and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
• Participate in daily safety meetings and maintain focus on safety, environment, and teamwork.
• Follow written and verbal instructions to complete tasks efficiently and meet schedules.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions and maintain a clean, organized work area.
