Wycliffe Associates is working on Bible translation projects for deaf and blind individuals worldwide using SUN (Symbolic Universal Notation), a symbol-based writing system that provides immediate Scripture access to the deaf and deaf-blind.
We seek native or bilingual Ilocano speakers to translate an English training manual into Ilocano for teachers serving deaf and blind communities in Ilocano-speaking regions. Basic computer skills, fluency in English and Ilocano, and proficiency in Word and Excel are required. The work can be done remotely, requiring about 10-12 hours weekly, and will last a few months until completion. This volunteer opportunity allows you to use your language skills to help bring the Gospel to the deaf and blind.
