Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health's Center for Discovery and Innovation (CDI) seeks a Senior Research Specialist to assist in the daily lab operations and to conduct experiments under supervision.

The ideal candidate will maintain meticulous records, work independently, and communicate findings clearly while supporting a wide range of cancer and translational research projects in Nutley, New Jersey.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's diploma/degree in lab specific field or other relevant area of study.
• Minium of 4+ years of experience.
• Meticulous record keeping to ensure integrity of the data.
• Must be able to work independently and have a strong work ethic.
• Lab specific technical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills (MS Office/Google Suite).
• Flexibility to work weekends or evenings when needed.

Responsibilities

• Independently designs and performs experiments within an assigned project.
• Contributes to determining feasibility of goals and objectives.
• Ensures quality, cost effectiveness, and timeliness of projects.
• Trains new personnel and investigators.
• Maintains detailed protocols and records of data.
• Organizes and maintains lab space.
• Assists in managing general laboratory functions.
