Job summary

McLean Hospital seeks a highly capable scientist to join as Microscopy Core Manager and Postdoctoral Fellow. You will oversee advanced imaging workflows, train users, manage core operations, and collaborate with Harvard Medical School researchers.

The role combines translational neuroscience, experimental imaging, and core leadership. Responsibilities include supervising TEM and confocal/multiphoton facilities, preparing samples, analyzing data, and contributing to grant development.

Qualifications

• PhD or MD in neuroscience, biomedical imaging, or related field and strong hands-on microscopy experience.
• Experience training and supporting users of advanced imaging platforms.
• Proven ability to design, implement, and troubleshoot complex imaging experiments.
• Excellent collaborative and scientific-writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and train users in TEM, confocal, and multiphoton imaging methods.
• Manage Microscopy Core operations including scheduling, safety, and budgeting.
• Collaborate with McLean investigators to design imaging studies and analyze data.
• Support grant development and provide technical leadership across projects.
