Job summary

Pfizer is seeking an AI Solutions Engineer for Translational Medicine to design, build, test, and maintain scalable data products, dashboards, and AI-enabled applications. You will translate scientific and business needs into reliable software and automated QC workflows while ensuring security, traceability, and reproducibility.

The role emphasizes reusable components, governance, and collaboration with data scientists, product owners, and enterprise technology teams in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, software engineering, data science, bioinformatics, computational biology, biomedical engineering, or related quantitative field.
• At least two years of professional experience developing data-intensive software, scientific applications, data pipelines, AI-enabled apps, or automation solutions.
• Experience delivering software beyond notebooks or one-time analyses.
• Experience translating stakeholder needs into technical requirements.
• Experience testing, documenting, releasing, maintaining, and troubleshooting software.
• Experience in life sciences, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, clinical research, or regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, document, and maintain AI-enabled applications, dashboards, APIs, and workflow-automation solutions.
• Develop modular components usable across programs and workflows.
• Create user-friendly apps that give governed data and computational capabilities to scientists and operators.
• Evaluate prototypes for feasibility, reliability, scalability, and deployment readiness.
• Implement governance, transparency, and security measures for AI-enabled products.
