The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), part of the NIH, invites up to three candidates for three- to five-year appointments as assistant clinical investigators in the Transition Program in Clinical Research. Positions may be located on NIH campuses in Bethesda, MD or Rockville, MD.

The program provides physicians with clinical and translational research experience in the DIR, with mentorship from senior investigators and a path toward competitive clinical tenure-track

Qualifications

• A doctoral degree (M.D. or M.D./Ph.D.) is required.
• Board eligibility or board certification in a subspecialty (or equivalent).
• Must meet the requirements to be credentialed at the NIH Clinical Center.
