Job summary

Transitions Healthcare North Huntingdon is hiring a Dietary Aide to join our kitchen team. You will assist with meal preparation, portioning, and serving for regular and therapeutic diets, and ensure residents receive the right meals with a friendly, dependable attitude.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Food service experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Help prepare, portion, and serve meals, beverages, and snacks for regular and therapeutic diets according to the planned menu.
• Assist with tray assembly and make sure each resident gets the right meal.
• Deliver nourishments to residents as prescribed.
• Prepare, label, store, and dispose of food using proper food handling and safety techniques.
• Wash and store dishes and utensils, and record wash, rinse, and chemical temperatures.
• Complete kitchen and dining room cleaning assignments using proper chemicals and techniques.
• Keep work areas clean, safe, and organized.
