Job summary

Lionsgate Academy in Minnetonka, MN is seeking a Special Education Teacher-Transitions to teach transitions classes, including employment, postsecondary education and independent living, while incorporating social skills and electives.

You will develop Community Based Instruction, report on transition activities, collaborate with the transitions department, train staff, and maintain accurate student records and IEP documentation.

Qualifications

• Must hold Minnesota Special Education teaching license.
• Experience working with students on the autism spectrum.
• Proficient with IEP and MTSS processes.
• Strong collaboration and communication with families.

Responsibilities

• Develop transition-focused lesson plans and CBIs for employment and independent living.
• Maintain accurate student records, IEP reports, and portfolios.
• Collaborate with transitions team to design community-based instruction.
• Lead staff trainings and support on transitions programming.
