Job summary

Methodist Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare, in San Antonio seeks a Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced, 15-bed unit. You will collaborate with physicians and care teams, applying nursing judgment and standardized care models to achieve optimal outcomes.

The role requires an Associate Degree in Nursing or RN diploma, with a BSN preferred, and at least six months of RN experience; telemetry or acute care experience highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma is required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Minimum of six (6) months of clinical experience as a licensed Registered Nurse required.
• One (1) year of Telemetry nursing or other acute care nursing experience as a licensed Registered Nurse highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Apply nursing judgment through the nursing process including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Collaborate with the patient care team and communicate with physicians to coordinate patient needs.
• Demonstrate critical thinking, prioritization and organization to ensure efficient patient flow.
• Make accurate, timely entries into the patient medical record addressing all steps of the nursing process.
• Maintain current nursing knowledge and safety practices per hospital policies and quality measures.
• Supervise tasks delegated to unlicensed personnel per Texas BON rules.
