Job summary

Aspire Living & Learning is seeking a Transition Teacher to join the Transition and young adult Self Directed Service Program. The teacher plays a vital role in daily program management, including implementation of individualized plans and supervision of Behavior Therapists.

The position requires CT Certification, a relevant degree, supervisory experience, and strong communication with families and districts. Hours are 40 per week, Mon-Fri 8a-4p, with a salary range of $65,000–$75,000.

Qualifications

• Master's degree preferred; Bachelor's degree required.
• Certification in general or special education in CT.
• Maintain active CT Certification in good standing.
• Previous supervisory experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively with parents, school districts, and staff.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Computer skills: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint; CT-SEDS preferred.
• Satisfactory background checks.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized plans within the Transition and Self Directed Service Program.
• Supervise Behavior Therapists to ensure program needs are met.
• Coordinate with parents, school districts, and staff across the organization.
