Job summary

New Narrative is seeking a Peer Specialist to support individuals transitioning from restrictive environments within the Polaris program. You will build non-judgmental relationships, assist with navigating the judicial and behavioral health systems, and connect participants to housing, resources, and services across Oregon.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of peer working experience.
• Current Peer Support Certification required.
• Oregon driver’s license required.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
• Must be registered with the state and have completed peer support certification training.

Responsibilities

• Provide peer support to individuals in the Polaris program.
• Assist program staff with implementing interventions.
• De-escalate and provide crisis support as needed.
• Coordinate with community resources for housing, food, and medical needs.
• Support participants in navigating the judicial system and court dates.
• Complete required documentation in a timely manner.
