Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior Transition PMO professional to establish and operate the Transition Management Office for large-scale IT infrastructure transitions in Minnesota. You will provide governance reporting, financial tracking, risk management, milestone oversight, and executive-level visibility across multiple transition workstreams.

You will partner with Transition Directors, Managers, and Client Stakeholders to ensure timely completion of transition deliverables across Service Desk,

• Ability to produce executive reporting and dashboards.
• Experience coordinating across multiple infrastructure towers.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run the Transition Management Office (TMO).
• Define governance, reporting schedules, and review meetings.
• Organize executive reviews, steering committee, and transition status meetings.
• Ensure compliance with transition methodology and quality standards.
• Maintain transition documents and knowledge records.
• Create and manage integrated transition plans and milestones.
• Track progress, risks, and dependencies across all towers.
• Coordinate activities across infrastructure towers.
• Publish daily, weekly, and monthly status reports.
• Develop executive dashboards and KPIs for leadership visibility.
• Consolidate updates from all towers and report progress to leadership.

The Transition Project Management Office is responsible for establishing and operating the Transition Management Office (TMO) for large-scale IT Infrastructure and Managed Services transitions. The role provides governance reporting financial tracking risk management milestone oversight and executive-level visibility across multiple transition workstreams. The Senior Transition PMO partners closely with the Transition Director Transition Managers Tower Leads Service Delivery Managers Solution Architects and Client Stakeholders to ensure successful execution of transition programs involving Service Desk Digital Workplace Hosting Cloud Network Security Backup & Storage and Infrastructure Operations services.

What you'll do in the role:

• Define governance, reporting schedules, and review meetings.
• Organize executive reviews, steering committee meetings, and transition status meetings.
• Ensure compliance with transition methodology, quality standards, and project requirements.
• Maintain transition documents, repositories, and knowledge records.
• Create and manage integrated transition plans, schedules, and milestones.
• Track progress, dependencies, risks, and critical activities across all transition workstreams.
• Coordinate activities across multiple infrastructure towers.
• Monitor phase-gate and toll-gate completion requirements.
• Drive ownership and timely completion of transition deliverables.
• Prepare and publish daily, weekly, and monthly status reports.
• Develop executive dashboards, KPIs, and progress scorecards.
• Consolidate updates from all towers and provide leadership visibility on transition progress
