Job summary

Township High School District 214 is seeking an Anticipated Job Placement Specialist (Grant) for a 37.5-hour work week. The position is a temporary, grant-funded assignment beginning October 30, 2026, with a starting salary at Grade 4, Step 1, $26.60 per hour under the ESPA agreement.

Qualifications

• Must have or obtain State and NCLB Approved Paraprofessional designation per Illinois State Board of Education.
• Must have physical ability to lift/move supplies up to 40 lbs.
• Must sit at workstation and move between areas; must organize and prioritize workflow.
• Must be proficient with computers, office practices and equipment.
• Must communicate clearly and respectfully with students, staff, parents, and the public.
• Must have experience in employment services and with persons with disabilities preferred.
• Must complete CPI training and have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist students in Vocational Lab, Work Center and worksite under supervision to implement IEP goals.
• Maintain accurate student records and assist with documenting incidents.
• Serve as liaison to the Career Discovery Center and coordinate transportation to work sites.
• Develop IEP summaries and participate in IEP meetings; assist with quarterly evaluations.
• Monitor students' health concerns and participate in safety trainings.
• Cultivate inclusive and equitable relationships with staff, students and community.
