Hazel Park School District is seeking a Transition Coordinator/ School Counselor for Edison Center Based Program. This full-time role starts August 24, 2026 and reports to the Director of Student Services/Edison Principal.
The position requires a Bachelor's in Special Education and at least 3 years of special or vocational education teaching experience, with preferred transition planning expertise and collaboration with families and agencies.

Bachelor's Degree in special education from an accredited institution.
A minimum of 3 years of satisfactory teaching experience in special or vocational education.
Preferred experience in transition planning, youth employment, and vocational assessment of students with special needs.
Requirements as defined in the Michigan Administrative Rules of Special Education and through Oakland Schools Plan for delivery of special education programs and services.
Compensation: In accordance with the Center Program Salary Schedule - H.P.E.A. Contract
Start Date: Beginning of the 2026-2027 School Year.
