NEARI is seeking to hire a dynamic special education teacher or school adjustment counselor to run the NEARI Transition Program. The duties of this position include teaching life skills and transition skills classes, working with students to create and update vision statements and IEP goals and objectives, and writing IEP transition plans. We are working towards expanding our Transition Program and are looking for a candidate with a vision for robust and comprehensive transition services for special needs students with moderate disabilities. This would include community internships, dual enrollment and travel training when warranted. The ideal candidate will also have extensive knowledge of community services and support for people with disabilities.
