Job summary

West Liberty Foods is seeking a Transition Coach to onboard and train new Production team members, acting as a liaison across Operations and support departments during early employment.

The role focuses on facilitating orientation, applying classroom learning to the floor, and guiding new hires through their initial development with emphasis on safety and job-specific tasks.

Qualifications

• Experience in food manufacturing or processing is a plus.
• Must be bilingual in English and at least one other language (prefer Spanish, French, or Swahili).
• Age: Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
• Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States; no sponsorships are available.
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the hands-on portion of the New Hire Orientation.
• Assist new team members in applying what was learned in the classroom to the production floor.
• Monitor the progress of new team members, helping them assimilate when necessary and providing assistance in training, onboarding and overall execution of their daily assigned tasks.
• Developing and implementation on the job training processes and procedures that will focus on West Liberty Foods, Safety, Food Safety and job specific tasks.
• Other duties as assigned.

Opportunity Overview

• Job Title: Transition Coach
• Location: West Liberty, Iowa
• Shift: 2nd
• Base Hourly Wage: $20.90 per hour; internal hire will depend on years of service
• Shift Premium: $1.50 per hour for hours worked on 2nd or 3rd shift

Job Summary

As a Transition Coach, you will play a vital role in onboarding, training, and guiding team members through their first few months of employment at West Liberty Foods. The position of the Transition Coach will assist in the onboarding, training facilitation, transition and development of newly hired Production team members by acting as a liaison between our Operations Team, support departments and the team member early in their employment at West Liberty Foods.

Job Requirements

• Experience: Experience in food manufacturing or processing is a plus.

• Physical Abilities: Ability to stand for long periods.
• Environmental: Ability to work in varying temperature conditions.
• Flexibility: Must be able to work overtime and/or weekends as needed. Ability to adjust quickly to changing demands.
• Compliance: Must practice good personal hygiene. Candidates must successfully pass a post-offer/pre-employment drug test, background screen, and physical.
