Job summary

Valley Transit in Washington state seeks a Full-Time Utility Custodian to clean buses and facilities, fuel vehicles, perform light maintenance, and support grounds upkeep. You will follow safety procedures and work shifts 5:00 a.m.

to 10:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday, to help keep transit services clean, safe, and ready for riders. The role requires attention to records, basic math, and the ability to use common tools and equipment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of safe practices for cleaning vehicles and facilities.
• Ability to complete written and electronic records.
• Basic math calculations related to fuel, mileage, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Fuel transit vehicles and record fuel, mileage, and maintenance data.
• Check and replenish lubricants and fluids as assigned.
• Clean interiors and exteriors of buses and equipment; remove trash and debris.
• Perform janitorial duties in agency buildings and facilities, including restrooms and floors.
• Perform routine grounds maintenance including mowing and pruning.
