Job summary

Valley Transit is seeking a Full-Time Utility Custodian in the Maintenance department to keep buses, facilities, and passenger shelters clean, fueled, and ready for service. You will perform vehicle cleaning, basic servicing, grounds upkeep, and safety-compliant janitorial tasks across transit assets.

The role requires a valid Washington or Oregon driver license, adherence to safety policies, and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.

Qualifications

• Valid Washington or Oregon driver's license.
• Must meet Valley Transit driving-record standards.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain required safety certifications.

Responsibilities

• Fuel transit vehicles and equipment and record fuel data and maintenance information.
• Clean interior and exterior of buses and maintain cleanliness of facilities and shelters.
• Perform janitorial duties in agency buildings and public spaces.
• Perform routine grounds maintenance and landscaping tasks.
• Ensure safe operation of cleaning and grounds equipment and report safety hazards.
• Move, tow, or assist with towing disabled vehicles as trained and authorized.
