SACOG, the Metropolitan Planning Organization for the six-county Sacramento region, seeks a Transit Program Manager (Principal Planner) to lead transit planning and coordinate with federal/state agencies, operators, and local partners to implement the Blueprint MTP/SCS.

This senior role supervises staff on the Transportation Team, develops work plans, oversees funding programs, and advances regional transit initiatives with a focus on fiscal sustainability and service integration, while

Qualificações

• Education equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in Transportation/Urban Planning, Public or Business Administration, Political Science or related field.
• Three years of full-time progressively responsible program management work in transportation planning, transportation funding and/or transportation grants, including at least one year of project lead and/or supervisory experience.
• Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid California Driver’s License by time of appointment.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee transit programs including state and federal funding programs and special planning projects.
• Supervise staff and coordinate with external partners, operators, and agencies.
• Lead development of the transit team workplan and budgeting activities.
• Represent SACOG at external meetings with partner agencies, officials, and stakeholders.
• Coordinate transit data collection, monitoring, and reporting for the region.
