Job summary

Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) seeks an experienced safety training professional to develop and deliver safety programs across the SMS and Agency Safety and Compliance Department. You will design lesson plans and coordinate training across divisions to improve safety outcomes.

Required: Bachelor's in safety or related field and 4 years in training/safety, with supervisory experience; instructor certification preferred. On-site role in Dallas, TX.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Business Administration, Educational Studies or related field.
• Four years of direct training/safety experience, including two years in supervision and transit/government operations.
• Instructor certification is preferred.
• Proficient with PC, Microsoft Office, LMS or related software.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement training programs aligned with SMS and agency goals.
• Develop or modify lesson plans following operating rules and safety audits.
• Conduct safety training for all DART employees and Train-the-Trainer sessions for Supervisors.
• Facilitate CPR/AED, De-Escalation, and Occupational Training as required.
• Maintain safety policies, write reports, and develop training curricula.
• Maintain databases and statistics on safety training activities.
