Job summary

Dallas Area Rapid Transit Inc seeks a Safety Training Administrator to develop and deliver comprehensive safety training across the SMS and Agency Safety Plans. You will design curricula, conduct training for all employees, and provide Train-the-Trainer support for supervisors.

You will coordinate with Safety staff, review hazard data, and maintain training databases while implementing measures to evaluate program effectiveness and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Business Administration, Educational Studies or related field.
• Four years of directly related training or safety experience, including two years in a supervisory role.
• Instructor certification preferred.
• Proficient with a PC, Microsoft Office, LMS or related software.
• Able to pass a medical exam with a drug screen for DART vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Develops, recommends, implements and identifies training programs aligned with SMS and agency goals.
• Develops or modifies lesson plans per operating, maintenance and safety rules.
• Delivers safety training for all DART employees.
• Provides Train-the-Trainer safety instruction for Supervisors.
• Facilitates CPR/AED, De-Escalation, and occupational training as required.
• Reviews reports to identify training needs and communicate findings.
• Maintains safety training databases and prepares curriculum drafts with stakeholders.
• Establishes measures to evaluate training effectiveness and prepares internal reports.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
