Job summary

Stantec's Rochester office is seeking a Structural Engineer to support engineering teams on large infrastructure design projects and pursuits in the New York region. The engineer will work under direct supervision to assist on design and management of infrastructure projects and public spaces.

Join our Transit & Rail Structures team and help improve communities through exciting projects. This role requires a NY PE license, 7 years of experience, and proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, OpenBuildings

Qualifications

Licensed Professional Engineer in NY.
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
Minimum 7 years of structural design experience.
Experience with multi-disciplinary coordination.

Responsibilities

Support pursuit teams for large APD opportunities within the New York City Metropolitan area.
Coordinate multi-disciplinary design teams from development through construction.
Review design deliverables for multi-disciplinary coordination.
Develop project design deliverables and calculations for Design/Build and Design/Bid/Build projects.
Perform calculations independently using bridge analysis and design software.
Resolve complex technical problems and exercise independent decisions.
Perform construction phase services for the Designer of Record.
Mentor and monitor Structural Designers.
Coordinate with clients including submissions, meetings, and reviews.
Assist in proposals and presentations for pursuits in NYC Metro.
