Job summary

TYLin, a global infrastructure consulting firm, seeks an Architect to design public infrastructure that is accessible, resilient, and sustainable for New York communities and beyond. You’ll work with multidisciplinary teams to shape transit stations, maintenance facilities, and civic spaces, aligning with client requirements and codes.

Qualifications

• RA or ability to obtain registration in a reasonable timeframe.
• Degree in Architecture from an accredited program.
• Approximately 5+ years of professional architectural experience on complex projects.
• Experience designing institutional, civic, transportation, healthcare, education, aviation, or commercial facilities.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, construction documentation, and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Working knowledge of building codes and accessibility requirements (ADA).
• Proficiency in Revit/AutoCAD; familiarity with MicroStation/OpenBuildings; modeling/visualization tools like Rhino/Adobe Suite; Bluebeam Revu and Office.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to planning, design, and delivery of complex public infrastructure projects (stations, facilities, civic environments).
• Develop architectural solutions prioritizing design excellence, accessibility, sustainability, resilience, and user experience.
• Collaborate with structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, and other teams to deliver integrated designs.
• Participate in all project phases from concept through construction documentation and administration.
• Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, consultants, and project teams to deliver high-quality designs.
• Interpret and apply building codes, accessibility standards, and project criteria.
• Produce and review drawings, specifications, reports, and presentation materials.
• Support QA efforts to ensure design excellence.
