The Transit Parts Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate inventories of a variety of parts, equipment, and supplies that are required to support transit fleet and facility maintenance. The work involves ensuring accuracy of inventories in automated vehicle maintenance systems, resolving inventory discrepancies, verifying shipments and billing, and assisting fleet maintenance personnel by identifying and issuing required inventory items.

King County Metro Transit’s Vehicle Maintenance Division is seeking to hire 4 Career Service Transit Parts Specialist positions and generate an eligibility list for future Career Service positions. The eligibility list would be valid for twelve months upon creation and may be used or extended at the discretion of the hiring authority.
