Job summary

City of Durango is seeking a Transportation Services Technician to assist the public at the Transit Center, process payments, and guide customers on transit and parking options. You may also perform field duties as a community ambassador supporting parking enforcement and city safety.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and at least two years in customer service with payment handling. You will work in a fast-paced environment, balancing in-office tasks with outdoor field

Qualifications

• Two years of customer service experience, including handling payments.
• Ability to communicate clearly with the public and city departments.

Responsibilities

• Assist Transit Center customers in person, by phone, and email.
• Sell transit passes and parking permits; process payments and receipts daily.
• Provide guidance on routes, schedules, and parking rules; handle inquiries and citations when needed.
• Maintain filing systems and process daily financial transactions for the department.
• Enforce parking codes in assigned areas as needed and serve as a city ambassador.
