Job summary

Interns rotate to departments aligned with their major, under supervision of executives, gaining data analysis, report production, and professional development opportunities in a transportation setting.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or the possession of a high school equivalency certificate; attending an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in a discipline aligned with the internship.
• Must have completed their freshman year and be entering their sophomore year of college.
• The intern must possess a minimum cumulative 2.8 GPA.
• Internship opportunities may extend beyond the summer based on performance and business needs.

Responsibilities

• Duties will vary by assigned department, with general tasks such as data input and report preparation.
• Research data for management, operations, and administrative reports.
• Produce deliverables like reports, presentations, and data visuals.
• Review reports and identify problems, suggesting solutions when instructed.
• Participate in departmental training and meetings to gain exposure to transit functions.
• Assist in leading departmental meetings or working sessions when assigned.
