Job summary

MTM Transit in Bakersfield, CA is seeking a Driver to provide safe, reliable transportation in partnership with Kern Transit. You will deliver courteous service and assist passengers with loading and mobility devices, while following client and company procedures.

Starting pay during training is $19.89/hour, with post-training pay at $20.49/hour. You must pass a DOT physical and background checks, and you’ll be supported by benefits and growth opportunities at MTM Transit.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Must have valid U.S. Driver’s license for past 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and reliable transportation.
• Demonstrate defensive driving skills.
• Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist with passenger loading and unloading from vehicle.
• Assist with mobility device and securement for safety protocols.
• Ensure on-time pick-up and drop-off.
• Complete vehicle pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Complete paperwork as required.
• Use tablets or electronic devices as required.
