The City of Cheyenne is seeking a Part-Time Transit Dispatcher to support daily transit operations. This position uses radio, telephone, and computer systems to aid bus drivers and the public, handles service interruptions, and dispatches personnel and equipment as needed.

The role is safety sensitive and includes required training and potential for overtime or split shifts. Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and relevant experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3 years of relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate dispatch systems and monitor two-way radio.
• Respond to service requests promptly and courteously.
• Prepare and maintain dispatch records and reports.
• Coordinate vehicles and drivers for demand-response and fixed-route services.
• Provide information to the public and assist in emergencies.
