Job summary

City of Pueblo Transit is seeking a full-time Bus Operator to safely operate buses on fixed routes and interact with passengers and staff. Duties include pre-trip inspections, maintaining route knowledge, and ensuring ADA accessibility. Must follow all safety policies and state/federal laws; DOT physical and background checks required.

Earnest attention to punctuality, strong attendance, and excellent customer service are essential. Union position with benefits package offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Class B CDL with Passenger and Air Brake Endorsements at time of application and Colorado CDL at appointment.
• Must pass DOT physical, background check, and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Operate transit bus in revenue/non-revenue service following policies and laws.
• Provide courteous customer service and information to passengers.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus and equipment.
• Maintain knowledge of Pueblo routes, stops, and fare structure.
• Ensure accessibility for ADA passengers and operate accessibility lift.
