Your impact

Jacobs is looking for a Transit Bus Inspector, who is excited about working on project supporting our clients' business in the Transit bus industry. You'll be accountable for reviewing plans and specifications, assisting in Turn Over Package requirements and developments. You'll also provide on-site assistance monitoring and visually inspecting material at receipt and installation.

This position is non-exempt and paid hourly.

Here's what you'll need

  • High School Diploma or equivalent certified technical training.
  • At least 3 years of experience working in the Bus Inspection industry.
  • Demonstrated experience in quality inspections for Diesel, Diesel Hybrids, CNG, Electric Trolley and full Electric buses.
  • Knowledge of construction including material, methods, plans and specifications; associated safety requirements.
  • Able and willing to work day or night shifts and/or flexible schedules including weekends as required to support the project requirements.

Essential Functions:

  • Intermittent sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, and lifting.
  • Lifting requirements limited to 20 lbs. in the form of supplies, drawings, etc.
  • Longest distance carried of 50 feet.
  • Hand manipulation is required for simple grasping, pushing and pulling, and fine manipulation,
  • Right and/or left hands utilized.
  • Occasional need to reach and/or work above the shoulder, for supplies, as well as below the shoulder for same.
  • Must be alert to equipment in the field, there will be occasional travel, will work near constructions job site equipment when in the field, occasional need to work near hazardous equipment and machinery, occasional need to walk on uneven ground, exposure to dust, gas, or fumes, exposure to noise, extremes in temperature or humidity, and potential work at heights.

Posted Salary Range: Upper

163,650.00

The base salary range for this position is $104,700.00 to $163,650.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
