Job summary

Breeze Transit in Sarasota County seeks a dedicated Bus Driver to provide safe, reliable transportation for adult residents and vacationing guests. This full-time role offers paid training and opportunities to grow with the Breeze brand.

New drivers start at $22.05/hour with 6 weeks of paid onsite and in-route training. CDL reimbursement for permit and license endorsements is provided; experienced drivers can earn up to $23.55/hour.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Florida Driver’s License at time of hire.
• Ability to obtain a Florida Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), Class B, with passenger and air-brake endorsement within 90 days.
• Physical Demands: May lift or move up to 50 pounds.
• Pre-employment: Subject to drug screening; failure to pass screening may disqualify employment for five years.

Responsibilities

• Drive transit buses and provide safe, reliable transportation for riders.
• Share knowledge of alternate routes and schedules throughout the county.
• Maintain professional customer service and represent the Breeze brand in a positive manner.
