East Texas A&M University is seeking a Transit Bus Driver to operate university transit routes and assist passengers with route information. The driver will adhere to safety policies, fuel vehicles as needed, and help maintain equipment.

The role requires a High school diploma, two years’ experience, strong communication, and the ability to multitask. A Texas Class B CDL with passenger endorsement is needed within 45 days of employment.

Formación

• High school graduation or equivalent.
• Two years’ work experience with strong communication.
• Ability to multitask and work cooperatively.
• Must obtain Texas class B CDL with passenger and air brakes endorsements within 45 days.

Responsabilidades

• Drives ETAMU transit routes as scheduled. Operates assigned equipment safely and in line with policies and laws.
• Properly fuels all assigned vehicles being returned to Transit unless otherwise instructed.
• Assists managers and supervisors in training of new drivers; provides feedback and retraining as needed.
• Conduct proper pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report discrepancies.
• Reports hazardous maintenance or safety issues to a supervisor.
• Maintains and cleans equipment during shift.
