Job summary

HTS Recruiting is seeking a Transit Bus Driver in North Charleston, SC, to join our client’s team. The role requires a valid CDL with a passenger endorsement and at least 3 months of driving experience, preferably in transit.

You will operate buses on assigned routes, serve passengers, and maintain safety and logs, with a focus on reliability and courtesy. Full-time, year-round work with schedules starting as early as 5 AM and ending near 11 PM.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL with passenger endorsement.
• Minimum 3 months of driving experience, preferably transit.
• Knowledge of local traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle stressful situations while driving.
• Strong organizational skills for schedule adherence and records.
• Commitment to passenger safety and comfort.

Responsibilities

• Operate transit buses on assigned routes in North Charleston.
• Deliver outstanding customer service to passengers.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Keep accurate logs of driving activities.
• Respond to detours while maintaining professionalism.
• Collaborate with dispatch and team members.
• Attend training and pursue ongoing development.
